Jibaritos Envueltos (Mini Bananas In A Blanket)

18 ripe mini bananas (A.K.A. guineos enanos maduros or niñitos in Spanish)
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup water
Frying oil

Peel bananas and slice in half vertically.
In small bowl combine flour, salt, and baking powder.
Slowly add water while mixing to make batter.
Heat pan filled halfway with oil. (test oil heat by
sticking the end of a wooden spoon to see if oil sizzles)
Thoroughly dip 6 pieces of banana in batter.
Fry dipped bananas in pan until golden on all sides.
Drain on paper towel and repeat with rest of bananas.
